Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
BABCP-accredited psychotherapist in Glasgow

CBT is a well-researched approach for treating mood difficulties, anxiety, and stress

My core training is in CBT, and I draw on it alongside schema therapy and EMDR to support deeper, longer-lasting change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a well-researched, solution-focused approach, helping you manage thoughts and behaviours that cause distress. As a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist, I use evidence-based techniques to support change.

CBT is a practical, structured therapy that helps you notice and shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours. It’s widely used for anxiety, depression, health worries, and stress. Together, we’ll break down overwhelming problems into smaller, more manageable steps.

It helps us explore the patterns between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours — and how these patterns can be changed.

It’s a collaborative and practical approach, focusing on finding solutions to difficulties and supporting lasting change.

I occasionally integrate brief hypnotherapy techniques to support calm, grounding, and emotional regulation where appropriate, but this is not offered as a stand-alone therapy

Gem's CBT sessions are available in person in Glasgow or online across the UK.
